NWET is a forum for the industry and academia to discuss and share the knowledge on emerging technologies & practices. NWET - 2009 and NWET - 2010
were conducted with focus on HVDC, FACTS and Advances in grid management and power trading respectively. NWET - 2011 was focused on Energy
conservation. NWET - 2012 discussed Modern power distribution. NWET - 2013 focused on Modern grid management and NWET - 2014 on recent trends
on power system protection. NWET - 2015 was focused on issues related to Renewable energy system design considerations and challenges.
NWET - 2017 will be held at Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar from 16 - 18 February and will be focusing on present research trends in Power system operation and control.
The workshop shall be technically co-sponsored by India Council IEEE PES chapter. It will be a flagship workshop for all eligible faculty members of all Engineering colleges in the state who have just completed or are in various stages of their doctoral work. The pertinent Power system areas include Non- Conventional energy, Power Electronics and control.
This will provide an opportunity to all researchers to share their work, thoughts and seek guidance of some of the peers in the field. Industry participants can attend to understand the areas which can benefit them. Post graduate students shall benefit by choosing their subject for research.
The schedule each day comprises of Keynote speech, Invited Lectures and Panel Discussions
