The SiliconTech family congratulates Shri. Ashok Kumar Basa, member of the Governing Body (GB) of Silicon Institute of Technology (SiliconTech), Bhubaneswar, on being elected as the Executive Vice President of the World Federation of Engineering Organization (WFEO).
The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is the international organization for the engineering profession. Founded in 1968, under the auspices of UNESCO, WFEO brings together national engineering institutions from more than 100 nations and represents more than 30 million engineers.
Shri. Basa is the first Odia and the second Indian to achieve such a prestigious and coveted position in the highly-regarded international organization for the engineering profession.
Prior to this engagement, he served as the President of Institution of Engineers (India). He is an internationally renowned structural engineer and was also the man behind the historical Jhula (Swinging) bridge at Dhabaleswar, Cuttack, Odisha.
