SiliconTech’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) organized ‘Entrepreneurs Fest 2022’ on 28 and 29 May 2022.
The objective of this fest was to bring the innovative entrepreneurial minds under one roof for the enhancement of their skills.
Mr. Debashis Pattnaik, President, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Bhubaneswar Chapter graced the event as the chief guest. Mr. Abanis Nayak, Managing Director, ZtopIoT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was the main speaker of the event.
Prof. Jaideep Talukdar, our Principal, delivered the welcome address wherein heinsistedthat academic institutions should focus on creating entrepreneurial mindset and inspire students to think independently, be innovative and work with dedication. Dr. Mahendra P. Agasty, the program coordinator briefed the gathering about the objectives of the program.
The inaugural session was followed by an inter-state business quiz competition. About 100 students across the state participated in the quiz and the winners were given cash prizes worth Rs. 10,000.
On 29 May, an inter-state prototype competition was organized. Thirteen teams selected during the Ideathon conducted by the ED Cell on 3 and 10 April 2022 participated in the competition. The three best teams were chosen for their innovative ideas and prototype development and were awarded cash prizes worth Rs. 20,000. T. Pavan Kumar, Senior Scientist, Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology(IMMT), Bhubaneswar and Dr. Prakash Kumar Rout, Additional Professor from the Department of EIE, SiliconTech were the judges for this event.
Several other competitions including ‘The Barter Game’ and ‘Pitch against the Startup’ were also conducted to enhance negotiation skills and crisis management ability among the participants. The fest received an overwhelming response from the participants.
