The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) at SiliconTech celebrated the National Pollution Control Day on 2 December 2023.
The National Pollution Control Day is celebrated on December 2 every year in India. The objective of the day is to raise awareness about the different measures to control pollution and the prevention of industrial disasters.
The members of the ED cell delivered a comprehensive address to the participants, enlightening them on various measures essential for mitigating pollution. The students also shared their perspectives on how they can personally contribute to pollution reduction through minor adjustments in their daily routines. Some of their recommendations included the advocacy of sustainable practices such as opting for public transportation, utilizing eco-friendly crackers, and minimizing the usage of paper and plastic.
A total of ninety students actively participated in the event and pledged to conserve energy by rectifying their personal habits and spreading awareness in their communities.
