The Student Council (SSC) of Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organized Techstacy 2025, the annual tech fest, and Zreyas 2025, the annual cultural fest on 21 and 22 March 2025.
Prof. Mihir Hota, our Dean Academics, inaugurated Techstacy 2025. Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Member of the Governing Body and Former Director of Silicon West graced the cultural fest as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the vital role such events play in shaping students’ careers and personalities. He underscored the importance of nurturing personality development alongside academic excellence, recognizing both as essential for a student’s holistic growth.
Techstacy 2025 featured an impressive lineup of technical events, including Robo War, Robo Race, a Technical Quiz, and a Coding Competition, highlighting the students’ exceptional skills. The event also offered engaging non-technical activities like Treasure Hunt and Panchayat, adding to the excitement. Meanwhile, Zreyas 2025 captivated the audience with a cultural spectacle of soulful musical performances and mesmerizing dance acts.
The fests were organized under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Simanchal Bag, Faculty-in-Charge, SSC. The seamless execution of the programs was further ensured by the unwavering support of Ms. Sagarika Pradhan, Faculty Coordinator, Robotics Club, Dr. Sohan Pande, Faculty-in-Charge, CodigoPlatforma (Coding Club), Dr. Chinmayee Padhy, Faculty Coordinator, Quiz Club, Dr. Sonalika Mishra, Faculty Coordinator, Shades of Silicon (Art Club), and Mr. Biresh Kumar Dakua, Faculty-in-Charge, Sports & Culture. Furthermore, the dedication and hard work of SSC members, event coordinators, various club members, and the participants added to the event’s success.
Mr. Satyabrat Panigrahi, Secretary General, SSC, presented the Annual Report on the inaugural day of the event. The celebrations concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Saswat Ranjan Pattnaik, Secretary Amenities, SSC. The event was a resounding success, leaving participants and the audience with unforgettable experiences and a celebration of both technical and cultural excellence.
