SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized Silicon Sports Award Ceremony 2025 on 5 May 2025.
The event aimed to award the winners of various events for their hard work, discipline, and dedication. It served as an occasion to recognize the accomplishments of student athletes and extend appreciation to the event organizers and volunteers whose efforts contributed to its success.
Participants from a broad range of sporting disciplines were acknowledged for their commitment and performance. Their recognition highlighted not only individual achievements but also the dedication and perseverance that define the pursuit of excellence in sports. The event served as a reminder of the integral role that athletics plays in the holistic development of students.
The presence of distinguished guests added further significance to the occasion. Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Dean of Student Affairs and Chief Guest, addressed the gathering with encouraging words. He was joined by Dr. Biswajit Baral, Faculty-in-Charge, Silicon Students Council, Dr. Samaleswari Prasad Nayak, Faculty Coordinator, Sports Club, Dr. Priyanka Kar, faculty member, Mr. Pradipta Jena, faculty member, and Mr. Balaram Mohanty, sports officer, all of whom have been consistent supporters of sports initiatives. Their presence was inspiring to the students.
With the participation of approximately one hundred and seventy five students, the event concluded on a positive note—celebrating not only the outcomes but also the commitment and discipline demonstrated throughout. The award ceremony reaffirmed SiliconTech’s ongoing dedication to cultivating talent, promoting physical well-being, and fostering an inclusive and vibrant sporting culture on campus.
