The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized a Prototype Exhibition on 7 May 2025.
The objective of the exhibition was to encourage students to transform their innovative ideas into tangible products and to provide a platform for demonstrating their technical skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
Prior to the event, the participating teams received structured mentoring and goal-setting support from innovation ambassadors, which played a critical role in refining their ideas and ensuring progress toward tangible outcomes. A total of thirteen student teams participated in the exhibition, showcasing prototypes developed as part of their Entrepreneurship Development (ED) projects. Each team progressed from idea generation to building a working prototype under the guidance of faculty mentors, demonstrating creativity and innovation.
Many prototypes displayed strong potential to evolve into successful start-up ventures. The prototypes were evaluated by Mr. Deepak Chaudhury from Success Leaf and Mr. Chittaranjan Pattanaik, former Coordinator at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), who commended the teams for their creativity and execution.
Noteworthy projects included Team Digital Stetho, Mera Bharat, Easy CA, and Rentique. Overall, the event successfully fostered innovation, hands-on learning, and entrepreneurial spirit among the students.
