The Cultural Society of Silicon (CSS) organized a cultural fest, ‘Rhythmnova 2025’ on 22 November 2025.
‘Rhythmnova 2025’ aimed to celebrate the creativity, cultural resonance, and diverse student expression at Silicon University. With the theme ‘Buzz of Bollywood’, the event sought to create a space for students to explore and express themselves through music, dance, and theatre. The theme encapsulated the spirit of Bollywood — colorful, dynamic, and full of life — while also highlighting the rich cultural traditions of India. Through this event, CSS provided a platform for students to connect with their heritage, collaborate with peers, and showcase their talents, fostering an inclusive artistic community on campus.
The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, marking the beginning of the celebration. The gathering was welcomed by an inspiring address from Prof. Ramaprasad Panda, Dean (Student Affairs), who emphasized the importance of fostering a culturally enriched environment within the university. The evening quickly transformed into a dynamic showcase of talent, as students took to the stage in a variety of performances, each brimming with energy and passion.
The evening’s highlight was the theatre act, which received widespread acclaim for its captivating narrative and powerful performances. Drawing from the ‘Buzz of Bollywood’ theme, the play was a crowd favorite for its humor, drama, and energy. Alongside Bollywood-inspired acts, the event also showcased traditional folk and classical art forms, such as Sambalpuri folk dance, Garba, and the graceful Odissi dance. The music performances were equally memorable, with violin, tabla, and other classical instruments setting a soulful tone. DDX, the university’s official dance crew, delivered an electrifying performance, while Samarpan, the music band, enthralled the audience with their Bollywood-infused musical set that had everyone tapping their feet.
‘Rhythmnova 2025’ was a remarkable success, not only for its stunning performances but also for the sense of unity and collaboration it fostered among students. The evening was a testament to the creativity, teamwork, and cultural richness that exists within the Silicon community.
