Silicon West students participate as finalists in Hack-a-Sol 4.0, a national-level hackathon

A team of students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur, were shortlisted for Hack-a-Sol 4.0, a prestigious national-level hackathon hosted at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Raipur, on 15 and 16 November 2025. The event brought together innovative minds from across the country to develop technology-driven solutions addressing real-world challenges through creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.

The shortlisted team comprised Mr. S. K. Aashim Farhan, Mr. Swayambhuba Sahu, Mr. Aditya Sahoo, and Mr. Setanshu Satyaprajna, pursuing 3rd Semester B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. Their proposed solution—an AI-powered, offline-capable healthcare continuity platform—aims to enable remote diagnosis, patient guidance, automated follow-ups, and real-time monitoring, ensuring uninterrupted access to basic healthcare in underserved regions.

The idea was recognised for its technical feasibility, innovation, and potential societal impact, reflecting the students’ strong foundation in computing principles and emerging technologies. This achievement underscores the institute’s commitment to nurturing innovation, experiential learning, and socially relevant research.
