Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organized an industrial visit to the Hirakud Hydroelectric Project for the students and faculty members from the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to real-world industrial systems and interdisciplinary engineering applications.
Participants observed hydroelectric power generation, including turbines, control systems, and distribution processes. The visit highlighted how different engineering fields work together, with guidance from faculty and interaction with on-site engineers.
The visit offered valuable hands-on learning, enhancing students’ understanding of industry practices and preparing them for future engineering challenges.
