The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized SparkUp Summit 2026, the annual entrepreneur’s fest from 17 to 19 April 2026.
The primary objective of SparkUp Summit 2026 was to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup culture among students and aspiring entrepreneurs. The event aimed to provide participants with opportunities to showcase business ideas, develop leadership and problem-solving skills, and gain practical exposure to entrepreneurial activities through competitions, networking sessions, expert talks, and interactive events. The summit also sought to bridge the gap between academia and industry by encouraging creativity, collaboration, strategic thinking, and innovation-driven learning.
The three-day summit served as a flagship entrepreneurial event that brought together students, innovators, startup enthusiasts, academicians, and industry experts on a common platform to celebrate innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. Jaideep Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of Silicon University, along with distinguished guests Mr. Binayak Acharya, Founder & CEO of ThinkZone, and Mr. Jagadish Sahu, Assistant Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises – Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
The first day of the summit featured the inaugural ceremony followed by competitions such as StockUp, Bidding War (Round 1), and Banner Expo. These activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and highlighted their creativity, business acumen, analytical thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset. The inauguration included ceremonial lamp lighting, keynote speeches, brochure release, guest felicitation, and cultural performances, creating an energetic and inspiring atmosphere for all participants.
The second and third days focused on innovation-driven activities and startup-oriented competitions. Events such as Idea Build Up, Bidding War Finale, and Startup Pitch Competition encouraged participants to present innovative business ideas and practical startup solutions. Students demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication skills, strategic planning, and entrepreneurial thinking throughout the activities. The judges and mentors appreciated the participants for their innovative approaches and problem-solving abilities aimed at addressing real-world challenges.
The summit concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony and prize distribution program recognizing outstanding performances across various events. A total of 500 participants from different institutions actively participated in the summit, making the event a grand success. SparkUp Summit 2026 successfully fostered the spirit of innovation, leadership, collaboration, and entrepreneurship while inspiring young minds to explore startup culture and sustainable business solutions.
