The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized an expert talk on Entrepreneurship on 26 September 2026 to create awareness among students about entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial opportunities, and the experiences involved in becoming an entrepreneur.
The program aimed to encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and explore entrepreneurship as a potential career pathway. The program featured Mr. Deepak Chaudhury, Founder of Success Leaf, as the invited speaker. At the outset, Dr. Mahendra Prasad Agasty, President, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), addressed the gathering and highlighted the objectives of the program. He emphasized the role of the ED Cell in fostering an entrepreneurial culture among students and briefed the participants about its major achievements and activities.
Mr. Deepak Chaudhury shared his entrepreneurial journey and spoke about the opportunities and challenges associated with becoming an entrepreneur. Drawing from his personal experience of leaving a corporate job to pursue entrepreneurship, he discussed his motivations, challenges, and key learning experiences during the transition. His interaction provided students with practical insights into entrepreneurship and encouraged them to consider it as a viable career option. A total of hundred students attended the session and actively participated in the interaction.
The second part of the program featured a series of motivational and interactive games designed to develop teamwork, creativity, communication, confidence, and problem-solving skills among the students. The activities made the session engaging and participatory while reinforcing important entrepreneurial qualities. The program concluded with an enthusiastic response from the students and provided them with valuable exposure to the entrepreneurial journey and the possibilities of pursuing entrepreneurship as a career.
