A five-day ‘Winter Webinar’ covers the latest developments across a wide range of domains in signal processing

The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering hosted a five-day ‘Winter Webinar on Signal Processing (WWSP-2021)’ from 18 to 22 January 2021.

The webinar series hosted presentations and discussions across a wide range of domains including Versatile Video Compression(VCC): The New Video Compression Standard’, Making Decisions from Unstructured Data, Fundamentals of Adaptive Signal Processing, and AI and ML in Speech Processing.

Many of the topics discussed were on deep learning and machine learning including Medical Image Analysis and Classification: From Machine Learning to Deep Learning, Deep Learning for Medical Imaging and Healthcare, Deep Learning in Computer Vision: Estimating 3D Human Pose from Monocular Image, and Machine Learning and Deep Learning for Multimedia Forensics: Is seeing still believing?.

Topics relevant to the pandemic times such as Biomedical Computing and the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, and others like Tree for Imputation: A Big Data Perspective were also discussed.
