The department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organized an invited talk on ‘Modernization of Financial Applications using AI’ by Dr. Pranab Mohanty from Meta Inc (Facebook) on 12 August 2022. The objective of the talk was to give the participants an insight of how AI is currently used for financial applications by the industry.
Dr. Mohanty has been an active researcher in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Personalized recommendation system for the past 20 years. Currently, he is leading multiple advanced research projects in the Reality Lab of Meta Inc (Facebook).
The talk emphasized on how Artificial Intelligence can be used in industry for various financial applications. It focused on how technology can be used to ease the process of transaction with enhanced security.
Around 46 faculty members attended the talk which was informative and interactive.
