The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at SiliconTech in association with IEEE Student Chapter organized an industrial visit to the Skyy Rider Institutions for Advanced Skill & Research, Bhubaneswar on 11 February 2023.
Skyy Rider Institutions is a leading skill development platform in India which offers a wide range of courses in association with reputed industry & universities. It works closely with over ten EV Manufacturers and ASDC (Automotive Skills Development Council) to upskill the youth for being employed in the EV sector.
The objective of this visit was to give the third year EEE students an industrial exposure to understand the connection of the major parts of an Electrical Vehicle (EV).
The experts from Skyy Rider Institutions explained to our students about EV design, EV technology, vehicle dynamics, battery calculations, battery management system, simulation of EV cell, manufacturing process, welding, cutting, electric harness design and casting technology during the visit.
Next, the students divided into two groups and visited the EV assembly, body manufacturing, and iron/plastic moulding sections, following all safety precautions.
A total of forty-nine students and faculty members benefitted from this visit and got the opportunity to enrich their knowledge about EV technology.
