The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) organised a two-day online Workshop with Hands-on Training on “Advanced MATLAB Tools and Simulink for Power System Application” from 26 to 27 July 2021.
Dr. Siddhartha Panda, Professor of EE, VSSUT, Burla was the resource person for the first session of Day-1 where he spoke on the Fundamentals and Applications of MATLAB and SIMULINK. For the second session of Day-1, Dr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab took the participants through a Hands-on Practice session with MATLAB for Load Frequency Control and Automatic Voltage Regulator Design in Power System.
The resource person for the sessions on Day-2 of the workshop was Mr. Kabalya Prasad Mishra, Ph.D. Scholar, Department of EE, National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya. Mr. Panda took the first session on Microgrid System Design with Multilevel Inverter Interfacing followed by a hands-on session on MPPT Control, PWM Control, Multilevel Inverter Design.
