The Departments of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) at SiliconTech jointly organized a 3-days webinar on ‘Wireless Communication in Image and Signal Processing’ (WCISP-2022) from 20 October to 22 October 2022 in the hybrid mode.
The objective of this event was to create awareness about the recent advances in the fields of signal and image processing and their applications in communication.
WCISP 2022 comprised of expert talks on diverse topics by eminent speakers from leading universities. Dr. Priya Ranjan Muduli from IIT (BHU), Varanasi spoke on ‘Convex Optimization Techniques for Signal Processing’, Dr. Milan Biswal from New Mexico State University, USA spoke on ‘Signal Processing for Machine Learning’, Dr. Jyoti Gangane from Vishwaniketan’s Institute of Management Entrepreneurship and Engineering Technology, Maharashtra spoke on ‘Role of Signal Processing in Wireless Communication and its Challenges’, Dr. Abhijit Chandra from Jadavpur University, Kolkata spoke on ‘A Journey towards Multiplier-less Digital Filter Design’, Dr. Nalinikanta Barpanda from Sambalpur University, Burla spoke on ‘Performance Analysis of Computer Interconnection Networks’, Dr. Vandana Rohokale from Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science, Pune spoke on ‘Pervasive AI and 6G Technology’ and Dr. Aditya Acharya from Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar spoke on ‘lmage Enhancement under Challenging Illumination Conditions’.
Around 100 participants joined the program both in the online and offline mode from academia and industry to enhance their knowledge in various areas like signal and image processing applications, video segmentation, signal classification, application of IoT in signal and image processing and data communication using IoT.
