Dr. Pulak Sahoo, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) delivered expert talks on Artificial Intelligence in the Capacity Building Program 2023-24 organized by Regional Training Centre, DAV Institutions, Odisha at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur and DAV Public School, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar.
The objective of these talks was to enable the teachers to develop an understanding of how AI technologies can be integrated into the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Dr. Pulak Sahoo delivered a talk on ‘Artificial Intelligence: Benefits and Challenges’ at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar on 22 May 2023. In his talk, he introduced the concept of AI and delved into the details to share the advantages and disadvantages of this emerging technology. It was followed by an interactive session where different aspects of AI were discussed and debated. A total of 138 secondary-level Science faculties teaching in different DAV Schools across the state along with the Principals of ten DAV Schools in Odisha attended this session.

The second talk was delivered by Dr. Pulak Sahoo at DAV Public School, Unit -8, Bhubaneswar on 23 May 2023. He spoke on ‘AI Integrated Multidisciplinary Approach to teach Social Science’. In his talk, Dr. Sahoo imparted the knowledge required to leverage AI tools effectively for creating an engaging learning environment and adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs. The talk was followed by a Q&A session which was interactive and highly appreciated. A total of 88 secondary-level Social Science faculty members teaching in different DAV Schools across the state along with principals from 10 DAV schools in Odisha attended this program.
