ED Cell organizes orientation program on entrepreneurship

SiliconTech’s Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell organized an orientation program for newly admitted first year engineering students on 18 December 2021.

The objective of the program was to create awareness about ‘entrepreneurship’ among the students and motivate them to solve problems in human life and society through innovative ideas and earn monetary profit from it as well.

Dr. Mahendra P. Agasty, Faculty-In-Charge, ED Cell gave a brief overview of how the ED Cell functions, what infrastructural facilities it has and how it can help students launch their start-ups by providing guidance from reputed entrepreneurs, financial assistance, and additional infrastructural facilities.

The next session ‘My Story – Motivational session by Successful Entrepreneur’ featured Mr. Sibashis Mishra, CEO and Founder of Bookingjini. He described his journey as an entrepreneur and the challenges he faced when he left a corporate job to start his own company, how he dealt with them, and some basic rules he followed. His talk was followed by an interesting Q&A session where he interacted with the participants and answered their questions.

The student members conducted various fun and learning activities for the participants in order to motivate them towards entrepreneurship. About 70 students from first year attended the program.
