SiliconTech’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) organized ‘Prarambh,’ an entrepreneurship development program on 10 December 2022. The objective of this program was to create an awareness among the students for making a career in entrepreneurship and motivating them to solve real life problems using innovative ideas while earning at the same time.
The program began with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Jaideep Talukdar, our Principal. In his address, he insisted that academic institutions should focus on creating an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire students to think independently, be innovative and work dedicatedly to turn their ideas into reality. Dr. Mahendra Prasad Agasty, Faculty-in-Charge, ED Cell, explained the objectives of the program and informed about upcoming events.
This program comprised of two invited sessions. Amit Kumar Tripathy, Executive Director, Shine group and freelance public speaker, spoke on ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity’ in the first session. Ayaskanta Mohanty, Founder & Managing Director, TATWA Technologies Ltd., shared his experiences as an entrepreneur and the challenges he faced, in the second session. The talks were followed by an interactive question and answer session.
The ED Cell also organized a quiz competition to instil the spirit of entrepreneurship in the young minds. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes.
Around 150 students participated in the event and made it a success.
