SiliconTech’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) organized the first round of IDEATHON 2022 on 3 and 10 April 2022.
An ideathon is a short, intensive, brainstorming event conducted to help young minds generate fresh ideas and solutions to existing challenges in the community. Participants work in teams and use innovative ideation practices such as design thinking to brainstorm on possible solutions.
Dr. Mahendra P. Agasty, the program coordinator gave the welcome address. 20 teams (idea hackers) participated in this first round of idea generation competition. Each team was given 5 minutes time to present their ideas. The major criteria for presentation was problem statement analysis, solution to the problem and the technology used.
The event was judged by Mr. C.R. Patnaik, former regional Coordinator EDII (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India) along with Dr. Prakash Kumar Rout, Additional Professor and Mr. Sushant Pattnaik, Assistant Professor at SiliconTech. 10 teams were selected for the second round and were awarded cash prizes for their diligent efforts.
The second and final round for the selected teams will be organized during “E- Fest” which is scheduled on 14 & 15 May 2022. All the participants were advised to develop their prototype based on their ideas and present the same during the upcoming E- Fest.
