SiliconTech’s Industry Interface Cell (II Cell) conducted an orientation session for Summer Internship program for 1st year B.Tech. / MCA / M.Sc. (Data Science) students on 16 May 2022.
The purpose of this orientation session was to explain to the students how the Summer Internship program works, along with its features and guidelines.
The welcome address was given by Dr Jaideep Talukdar, Principal. Dr Sanjit Kumar Swain, Faculty-in-charge (II Cell) gave an overview of Summer Internship Program and Dr Debabrata Kar, Dean Academics, discussed the rules, regulations, and benefits of doing Summer Internship.
Three students from the final year viz., graduating batch of 2022 – Akash Das (CSE), B. ManasiPatro (EEE) and Sanjog Samuel Samantaray (CSE) shared their experiences on how taking up Summer Internship courses at SiliconTech helped them to gain better skills and receive higher salary packages.
The Summer Internship Program is a mandatory part of the B.Tech. curriculum offered at SiliconTech. This program is of 30-45 days duration and is held during summer breaks. This program enables Siliconites to gain new skills and deepen their knowledge by applying their classroom learnings in simulations of real life technology projects from the industry.
The Industry Interface Cell designs the internship programs together with industry experts and in-house subject specialists.
