The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in association with the Human Resources (HR) Cell, organized a one-day Induction-Cum-Refresher Program for the faculty members on 26 March 2022.
The objective of this program was to introduce the faculty members who joined between Jan-Mar 2022, to the functioning of the Institute as well as to the professional expectations that the Institute has for them while discharging their duties. In addition, it served as a refresher program for faculty members who joined the institute from 2018.
Dr. Saroj Kanta Mishra, our director, delivered the welcome address, followed by Dr. Debabrata Kar, Dean (Academics). The two distinguished invited speakers, Prof. (Dr.) Nitai Sundar Das and Prof. (Dr.) Tanmay Panda delivered talks on the importance of the Teaching Learning Process and Role of Educator-a changing paradigm. Dr. Das is currently serving as an Emirates Professor in Mechanical Engineering at C.V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar, with an additional responsibility as the Director of C.V. Raman Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence. Dr. Tanmay Panda is an accomplished academician with more than three decades of teaching.
The post lunch session was addressed by Dr. Jaideep Talukdar, our Principal and Mr. Chittaranjan Behera, Faculty-in-charge (FIC), ERP. Their deliberation was primarily focused on effective communication skills and code of ethics for teachers.
This program was part of a series of quality enrichment programs undertaken by IQAC. A total of 17 faculty members participated in this program.
