Silicon University was felicitated by MathWorks India Private Limited during a special Credentialing and Felicitation ceremony held on 2 December 2025. The event recognized the effective and impactful use of MATLAB (Desktop and Online) by the University’s students and faculty members.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. ChandanPramanik (Director, Education, MathWorks India Private Limited) and Mr. Prasun Banerjee (National Sales Account Manager, MathWorks India Private Limited), who presented a plaque to Dr. Jaideep Talukdar, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Silicon University and handed over certificates to the Heads of various Departments at Silicon in appreciation of their exemplary efforts in integrating MATLAB and Simulink into teaching, learning, and research.
During the interaction, the MathWorks leadership commended Silicon University’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and innovation. They highlighted the meaningful work being carried out across various departments and assured continued collaboration. Two key collaborative action points emerged from the meeting, including the planning of an exclusive online technical session for Silicon University researchers to explore advanced MATLAB and Simulink capabilities, and the provision of a curated list of industry partners extensively using these tools to support training and placement initiatives with deeper industry insights.
