NGMA Director, Shri Adwaita Gadanayak appreciates the efforts of Team SiliconTech in hosting Kala Kumbh

Shri Adwaita Gadanayak, Director of National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi, appreciated the efforts of Team SiliconTech in hosting Kala Kumbh, an artists’ workshop, on its campus from 11 to 17 December 2021.

The 75m long canvas, which pays homage to the unheralded heroes of Odisha, was painted at SiliconTech premises under the aegis of Shri Gadanayak. This event was part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence held by India’s Ministry of Culture. The workshop brought together contemporary artists and indigenous painters of the Gond Art tradition.

Shri Gadanayak is a prominent sculptor from Odisha and an artist of repute. He is a visionary and a living prodigy in the area of fine arts. The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, very recently assigned him the job of building a 25-feet tall statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the India Gate in New Delhi.
