NSS Club organizes Green Run Silicon, a Marathon for Climate Action

The National Service Scheme (NSS) club at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized Green Run Silicon, a Marathon for Climate Action, on 22 February 2025.

The marathon aimed to highlight the urgency of environmental issues and encourage the adoption of eco-friendly practices. Participants ran through a scenic route that symbolized a collective journey toward environmental conservation. The event served not only as a fitness initiative but also as a powerful reminder of the role individuals and communities play in addressing the climate crisis.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff, all united by a shared goal of raising awareness about climate change and promoting sustainable living. The marathon sparked meaningful conversations around sustainability and inspired participants to act beyond the event. By promoting awareness and responsibility, it strengthened Silicon’s commitment to building a greener and more conscious campus community.
