Practice School (PS) students from B. Tech. 2023 batch successfully complete their PS program

The Industry Interface Cell (II Cell) of Silicon successfully facilitated the 7th semester & 8th semester Practice School (PS) program for the B.Tech. 2023 graduating batch.  From 11 July 2022 to 26 May 2023. The PS program recorded a significant rise in student participation and industry engagement compared to the previous batch, reflecting the growing acceptance and impact of experiential learning under the autonomy framework.

A total of 53 students from the 2023 batch successfully completed their PS in the 7th semester, as against 28 students from the 2022 batch, reflecting an 89% increase in student participation. The PS program also witnessed a more than two-fold increase in the number of PS stations from 61 in 2023 compared to 27 in 2022.

A total of 184 students from the B.Tech. 2023 batch opted for PS in their 8th semester from January to June 2023. The selected students worked on the latest technologies in real-life projects and received a monthly stipend between INR 10,000 and INR 50,000 during their PS program.

The PS drive witnessed participation from several reputed organizations across software, product, and core engineering domains. The participating PS stations included Accolite Digital, Accolite, AI-CoE (OUAT), BALCO, Devathon, DRDO, Haber Technology, Hughes Systique, KFintech, Mentor Graphics, Micron, Pipli Software, PRDC, Prodapt, SDI-BBSR, Smallcase Technologies, Squibix, STMicroelectronics, Surya Software, Teceads Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Teleglobal Solutions, upGrad, and Vodafone.

The consistent growth in student participation, the expanding network of PS stations, and the increasing preference for physical-mode internships underline the strengthening of industry–academia collaboration under the Practice School program.
