Richa Kumari from the B.Tech. Computer Science and Technology (CST) batch of 2025 gets placed at Amazon with a package of 30.3 LPA.
Earlier, she had secured an internship at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) intern with a monthly stipend of INR 1.1 lakh. Her path to this achievement reflects a steady progression built on curiosity, hard work, and consistent skill-building.
Richa’s interest in coding developed in her second year when she was introduced to Java. The language sparked her enthusiasm, prompting her to dive deeper and develop a strong programming foundation. Her subsequent exposure to the Design and Analysis of Algorithms (DAA) deepened her understanding of algorithmic problem-solving, leading her to practice extensively on platforms like HackerRank.
During the summer after her second year, she pursued an internship and an MERN stack course. She mastered HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and MongoDB, and translated this knowledge into practical projects such as an e-commerce site, blog application, weather app, and fitness tracker. These hands-on experiences strengthened her front-end expertise while enhancing her confidence in building real-world applications.
In her third year, she concentrated on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), methodically working through concepts and refining her skills on LeetCode. This blend of web development proficiency and strong algorithmic skills positioned her as a well-rounded software engineer, capable of excelling in diverse technical challenges.
Richa’s success at Amazon stands as a testament to her resilience, adaptability, and determination to continually push the boundaries of her technical capabilities.
