The Silicon Alumni Association (SAA) hosted the 17th Alumni Meet on 27 December 2025, creating a meaningful and well-organized reunion for its former students. The event brought together alumni from different batches, strengthening their continued connection with the institution and celebrating their shared academic journey.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by addresses from distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Jaideep Talukdar, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Soumya Ranjan Samantaray, Secretary General.
The cultural performances during the meet were a major highlight of the program. The session opened with a captivating Odissi dance that left a lasting impression on the audience. This was followed by engaging performances by alumni, reflecting that creativity and talent continue to flourish beyond campus life. A fun and interactive game session encouraged alumni to share fond memories of their university days. A group photograph captured the spirit of togetherness, symbolizing enduring bonds. Two informative videos were also screened, showcasing the university’s progress in infrastructure development, sustainability initiatives such as the Energy Conservation Award 2024, and important collaborations including the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government for hospitals.
The event transitioned into a lively post-lunch session featuring sports and recreational activities. Alumni enthusiastically participated in indoor and outdoor games such as cricket and volleyball, with teams comprising alumni and university staff. This segment added vibrancy to the occasion and provided an opportunity to reconnect through friendly competition while reliving cherished memories. It also reinforced the importance of teamwork, well-being, and holistic development.
The 17th Alumni Meet concluded on a memorable note, leaving participants with a renewed sense of pride in their alma mater. The program successfully provided a platform for alumni to reconnect, celebrate shared experiences, and look forward to future accomplishments.
