The Silicon Innovation and Promotion Cell (SIPC) organized ‘Techtronics 2026’, a technical innovation event on 11 April 2026.
The objective of the event was to promote innovation, practical learning, and teamwork. The event aimed to help participants refine their technical skills, build confidence, and develop solutions to real-world challenges. Through project demonstrations, competitions, and interactive sessions, participants cultivated creativity, critical thinking, and a lasting interest in technology, while gaining exposure to emerging trends in both hardware and software domains.
The event featured multiple competitions, including Prototype Exhibitions for senior and junior divisions, along with the newly introduced Webtronics website development contest. In the Senior Prototype Exhibition, team Sarathi from Trident Academy of Technology won the first prize, followed by team Navamesh from Silicon University securing the second prize, and team Zenith from Sambalpur University winning the third prize. Furthermore, teams Agro Visioneers from ITER and Shop Banao from Silicon University received consolation prizes. In the Junior Prototype Exhibition, team CPR Buddy from DAV Chandrashekharpur won the first prize, while the Jal Rakshak team from DAV Pokhariput secured the second prize and team Phone Coach Pioneer from ODM Public School claimed the third prize. Additionally, team SHAZZ Gang from Venkateswar English Medium School received the consolation prize. In Webtronics, teams Sher-E-Developer and Team Nebula, both from Silicon University, jointly won the first prize. The Kojak team from Silicon University secured the second prize, while team HackersNova from Trident Academy of Technology won the third prize.
The technical event concluded with a felicitation ceremony attended by Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, Professor (EEE) and Dr. Sudhansu Mohan Biswal, Associate Professor (ECE) who presented awards to the winners and runners-up teams.
‘Techtronics 2026’ successfully inspired innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence, leaving a lasting impact on participants. Beyond celebrating achievements, the event provided meaningful learning experiences, nurtured future innovators, and strengthened the culture of technological creativity at Silicon. The day’s proceedings reinforced the importance of teamwork, applied knowledge, and continuous improvement, laying the foundation for participants’ future endeavors in the ever-evolving field of technology.
