The Silicon Innovation Promotion Cell (SIPC), organized ‘Techtronics 2024’, a technical innovation event, on 7 December 2024.
This year, Techtronics provided an exceptional platform for students to showcase their groundbreaking technical innovations through both hardware and software prototypes. The event fostered a spirit of friendly competition, as participants presented creative solutions to real-world challenges. By encouraging students to transform their ideas into practical applications, Techtronics enhanced their problem-solving abilities while nurturing creativity and collaboration. Bringing together diverse talents and perspectives, the event inspired participants to push the boundaries of innovation and contribute to impactful technological advancements.
The event featured two categories—junior and senior—fostering a spirit of healthy competition and celebrating technological excellence. Open to school and college students, the competition attracted 50 teams from various institutions, showcasing diverse innovative projects. With over 180 participants, the senior division included 17 hardware and 17 software teams, while the junior division comprised 7 hardware and 6 software teams. This impressive participation underscored the event’s broad appeal and its ability to attract top technical talent. The strong turnout highlighted the event’s role in inspiring creativity, collaboration, and technological advancement.
The event attracted over 160 participants from a variety of colleges, showcasing a range of innovative ideas that captured the attention of everyone present.
In the senior division, teams from esteemed institutions such as Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University, Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), World Skill Centre-Bhubaneswar, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) Sarang, Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC), Trident Academy of Technology, and Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) competed with great enthusiasm. Participants presented cutting-edge hardware and software solutions, showcasing their technical prowess and innovation. The first place was claimed by Silicon University’s ‘Optimists’ and ‘AnvPY Developers Group,’ while ‘CTTC’s Medi-Link’ and ‘SOA, ITER’s ‘Code Wars’ secured second and third positions, respectively.
The junior division was equally remarkable, featuring an impressive display of creativity and ingenuity by school students. Notable participants included DAV Public School (Chandrasekharpur), DAV Public School (Kalinga Nagar), and Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School (BJEM). BJEM School’s ‘Manyush 2.0’ took the top honors, followed by DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur’s ‘AI Bytes’ and ‘IRIS,’ which earned second and third places, respectively. DAV Public School, Pokhariput’s ‘Bharat Post E-Corner’ received a well-deserved consolation prize.
The event celebrated the immense talent and enthusiasm of participants across all levels, fostering a culture of innovation and pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology.
