The Silicon Quiz Club organized the Zero-Tolerance Quiz on 16 August 2025 to promote awareness about anti-ragging and anti-bullying, fostering a campus culture rooted in kindness, respect, and mutual understanding. Designed to challenge and enlighten participants, the event reaffirmed the university’s commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from over thirty students. It was skillfully hosted by Deepak Kumar Gouda (CSE, 3rd Year), who kept the proceedings lively and intellectually engaging throughout the three-hour session.
The competition followed a two-tier format. The preliminary round featured 15 challenging questions, from which the top six teams advanced to the finals. The final round tested both the depth of knowledge and speed of recall through another set of 15 questions.
Biswanath Patnaik (4th Year, CEN) and Swaraj Mahapatra (4th Year, CST) emerged as the winners, while Aditya Sahoo (3rd Year, ECE) secured the first runner-up position. Akankshya Panda and Pratyasha Sahoo (1st Year, CSE) were declared the second runners-up.
The Zero-Tolerance Quiz 2025 stood out not only as a display of intellectual prowess but also as a meaningful initiative that inspired participants to uphold the values of empathy, respect, and inclusivity within the campus community.
