A special short film was also presented, capturing the 25-year journey of perseverance, accomplishments, and transformation. Alumni and former faculty shared their reflections, celebrating the academic culture SiliconTech has fostered over the years.
The event was further enriched by special addresses from Vice Chancellor Dr. Talukdar, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Ramaprasad Panda, and Controller of Examinations Dr. Prayag Prasad Mishra. Their messages emphasized the academic contributions of SiliconTech, its role in research, and its vision to prepare future generations to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
The Silver Jubilee was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Prof. Shreepad Karmakar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar. Delivering an inspiring address on ‘Shaping Minds, Building Futures, and Enriching Society’, he highlighted the importance of a guiding motto in education and its role in shaping institutions and individuals. Our Vice Chancellor felicitated Prof. Karmakar, following which he shared a foundation day message, reaffirming the values of education, research, and innovation. The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Pradeepta Mohapatra, our Registrar, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, faculty, alumni, students, and organizing committees for making the event a resounding success.
Adding vibrancy to the evening, the cultural segment brought the theme ‘Tradition Meets Innovation’ to life. It featured a graceful Odissi performance, a semi-classical dance, and melodious musical renditions by students, blending heritage with creativity.
