SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, celebrated National Youth Day on 12 January 2026 to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose life and teachings continue to inspire the youth of the nation.
The objectives of the celebration were to spread the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, encourage youth participation in democratic and social activities, foster leadership, communication, and creative skills, and promote cultural awareness and unity. By engaging in these activities, students were encouraged to internalize values of responsibility, patriotism, and social commitment, reflecting the vision of Swami Vivekananda for empowered youth.
The programs included a youth pledge ceremony, youth parliament, debate and speech competitions, and a creative poster display. Students actively debated contemporary issues, articulated their perspectives through speeches, and expressed their creativity through posters. Cultural performances, including music, dance, and skits, added vibrancy to the celebration and reinforced the messages of unity, national pride, and social responsibility.
The National Youth Day Celebration 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.
