SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, collaborated with AVD Group to host Odisha’s Grand Job Carnival 2025 on 18 and 19 September 2025.
The objective of the Grand Job Carnival was to provide a high-impact employment platform for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals, helping them explore a wide range of career opportunities across diverse industries. The event aimed to bridge the gap between job seekers and recruiters by facilitating direct interaction, interviews, and knowledge-sharing. With a focus on career development, professional networking, and skill enhancement, the carnival aligned with the broader vision of empowering the youth of Odisha and beyond.
The event witnessed a vibrant start with an inauguration ceremony graced by prominent dignitaries, including Dr. Jaideep Talukdar, Vice-Chancellor of Silicon University, Mr. Aatish Patil, Founder of AVD Group, Rotarian Jayashree Mohanty, the first Female Rotary Governor of Odisha, Mr. Mrinal Behera, Senior Consultant in Deloitte, Mr. Amol Gupta, Co-Founder of Advanze, and Mr. Ashutosh Shrivastava and Mr. Neelmadhav Swain, both working as Delivery Managers in Infosys. Their presence inspired both job seekers and organizers, marking the beginning of an impactful event.
The event saw participation from over 4,000 candidates and featured openings for in-demand roles such as Software Developer, UI/UX Designer, and Business Analyst. More than 30 reputed companies took part in the job fair, including industry leaders like Infosys, , Persistent Networks Pvt. Ltd, ESSTPL, Ishvara Tech Consulting, Hyscaler, IT Plus Point, Smaket Solutions, E Square System & Technologies Pvt. Ltd, and SPARC India. These organizations conducted walk-in interviews and interacted with candidates, offering both internships and full-time roles across technical and business domains.
Overall, Odisha’s Grand Job Carnival 2025 was a resounding success, leaving a strong impact on the professional ecosystem of the state. The initiative not only provided employment avenues but also allowed participants to gain insights into current industry expectations and hiring trends. It further reinforced Silicon’s role as a hub for talent and opportunity, offering a platform that connects academia with industry in meaningful and transformative ways.
