SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University inaugurated the Gate Ball Club on 20 April 2024.
Gate ball is a team sport played with a wooden mallet and wooden balls, on a rectangular field, between two teams with five players in each team. The club aims to foster unity, cooperation, and sportsmanship among students while promoting physical and mental well-being.
With its strategic and fast-paced nature, gate ball offers an engaging way to stay active while sharpening tactical thinking and concentration. The club warmly welcomes both seasoned players and novices alike.
A friendly match between IGU and Silicon University was held after the inauguration. The game witnessed the excitement of this newly launched endeavor.
