Silicon University launches the book ‘The Scrapper’s Way: Making it Big in an Unequal World’ during Zygon 2024, the annual cultural fest

The Meta Academics cell at SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, launched the book ‘The Scrapper’s Way: Making it Big in an Unequal World’ authored by Shri Damodar Padhi on 24 February 2024. The book launch was one of the events during the annual cultural fest Zygon 2024.

The book has been written by Sri Damodar Padhi, a passionate storyteller, and former Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS). He is a self-made man who has triumphed over numerous difficulties to exemplify how one’s attitude determines their altitude in life.

The book was unveiled by the author, Shri Damodar Padhi in the presence of our Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jaideep Talukdar. The welcome address was delivered by Anjali Routray, a student member of the Meta Academics cell. She further shared a brief review of the book with the audience.

‘The Scrapper’s Way’ is a guiding light that will help the readers make wise choices when it comes to their personal and professional lives. The narrative is a combination of behind-the-scenes memoir and thought-provoking objectivity that compels the readers to chart their course to success in an unfair world.

Dr. Talukdar also shared his insights on the content and writing style of the book. He appreciated the author’s creativity and lauded the book’s ingenuity.

The discussions were followed by a Q & A session in which the audience interacted with the author. A special edition of the book with the author’s autograph was also available for purchase.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Anshuman Mishra, a student member of the Meta Academics cell.
