Silicon University organizes an awareness program on career opportunities in the Indian Air Force

SiliconTech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized an awareness program on career opportunities in the Indian Air Force (IAF) on 3 October 2024.

The primary objective of the event was to bridge the gap between students and the defence sector, inspiring young minds to consider a career in the IAF. By offering students a firsthand understanding of the roles, challenges, and innovations in the Air Force, the event aimed to ignite a sense of curiosity and ambition among the nation’s future leaders.

The event, led by Flight Lieutenant Pranay Bhagat, featured various interactive sessions and activities to showcase the prestige, innovation, and opportunities associated with a career in the IAF. The highlight of the event was the IPEV (Induction Publicity Exhibition Vehicle), which featured a cutting-edge fighter aircraft cockpit model. This exhibit offered students hands-on exposure to the advanced technology used in modern aviation, leaving a lasting impression of the high-tech systems that define present-day defence capabilities.

In addition to career advice, the event explored the IAF’s integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and drones, offering a fascinating glimpse into the future of defence aviation. In a particularly inspiring segment, stories of women officers in the Air Force highlighted their contributions and achievements, breaking stereotypes and encouraging students to consider diverse roles within the force. This emphasis on inclusivity resonated strongly with the audience and underscored the progressive ethos of the IAF.

A total of two hundred students attended the event to gain meaningful insights. By combining informative sessions with interactive experiences, the event not only educated students about the opportunities available in the IAF but also inspired them to embrace the values of innovation, courage, and service to the nation.
