The Silicon Quiz Club organized India Quiz 2024 on 24 September 2024.
The quiz competition aimed to enrich students’ knowledge and awareness of Indian culture, history, and current affairs. It sought to offer a platform where both novice and experienced quizzers could demonstrate their talents, engage in healthy competition, and build teamwork skills. This event was designed to inspire curiosity, promote learning, and foster a sense of camaraderie among participants.
The event followed a structured format, beginning with a preliminary round and culminating in an exciting final round. Over 35 enthusiastic students participated, eager to showcase their knowledge and skills. The preliminary round featured seventeen challenging questions, presented by Quiz Master Piush Praharaj, a third-year student. After careful evaluation, six top-performing teams advanced to the finals.
The winners of the India Quiz 2024 were announced, with the top three teams receiving recognition for their outstanding performance. Tanmaya Raut (EE, 2025) won the first prize, while Shubham Kumar Jha (EE, 2027) and Pratham Jena (EE, 2027) shared the second position. Sandeep Pradhan, (EEE, 2026) won the third prize. The event was a testament to the participants’ intellectual prowess and competitive spirit.
