Silicon Quiz Club organized ‘Quizanna 2024’, an inter-school quiz competition on 16 November 2024.
The quiz aimed to provide a platform for young students to showcase their talent and introduce them to the vast world of college quizzing. It also fostered teamwork, community-building, and self-confidence among the participants.
The quiz began with vibrant energy as participants eagerly prepared to demonstrate their expertise across various topics. The competition was thoughtfully designed to challenge the fresh perspectives of newcomers while testing the seasoned skills of experienced quizzers, fostering a dynamic and competitive atmosphere.
The quiz featured two engaging rounds: preliminary and grand finale. Quiz Master Subhojeet Biswas conducted the preliminary round, consisting of fifteen thought-provoking questions, from which the top six teams advanced to the finals. In the final round, another challenging set of fifteen questions put the competitors’ knowledge and teamwork to the test. Adyant Pattnaik and Sai Arush emerged as the winners, followed by Pratyush Dhal and Ayaan Senapati as the first runners-up, and Pushpam Panda and Prayahraj Rout as the second runners-up. All the winners and runners-up are students of D.A.V. Public School, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar.
The event was coordinated by Mr. Dhananjay Tripathy, Faculty Coordinator of the Silicon Quiz Club. The active participation and enthusiastic response from the students encouraged the quiz club to host such events in the future, fostering a lasting interest in quizzing within the community.
