The Silicon Quiz Club, under the aegis of the Silicon Students’ Council, successfully organized the 4th edition of Quizanna, an inter-institutional quiz competition on the theme ‘From Questions to Champions’ on 8 November 2025.
The event aimed to foster a spirit of healthy competition and intellectual engagement among students from schools, colleges, and universities across Odisha. With a focus on encouraging curiosity and knowledge-sharing, ‘Quizanna 4.0’ provided a platform for young minds to showcase their general knowledge, current affairs awareness, and logical reasoning skills, promoting both individual and team excellence.
In the quiz, ninety participants competed in the junior category and sixty participants contested in the senior category. The competition began with a preliminary round, where participants were tested on general knowledge, current affairs, and logical reasoning. The top eight teams from each category advanced to the Grand Finale, where they competed in a rigorous contest of knowledge and acumen.
The event featured two talented quizmasters-PiushPraharaj (ECE, 2025), who hosted the senior category, and Kashyap Panda (EEE, 2026), who compered the junior category. Both quizmasters brought energy and expertise to the proceedings, guiding participants through a series of intellectually challenging rounds.
In the junior category, the team of Ankit Kumar Swain and Swatit Kumar Swain from DAV Public School, CDA, Cuttack emerged as the winners. The first runners-up were AdweyaSaringa and Swastika Mishra from KIIT International School, Bhubaneswar, while the second runners-up position was secured by Priyam Das and Anny Amrit Panda from St. Xavier’s High School, Barabati, Cuttack.
In the senior category, Shubham Kumar Jha and S. N. Parshuram Swain from Silicon University, Bhubaneswar were the winners. AdarshMohapatra from AIIMS, Bhubaneswar was the first runner-up, and the team of Arnav Nayak and SidhartPattnaik from VSSUT, Burla secured the second runners-up position.
To commemorate their accomplishments, all winners and runners-up were felicitated with certificates, mementos, and cash prizes. The event not only highlighted knowledge and teamwork but also celebrated the enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity of young quizzers from across the state. The Silicon Quiz Club expressed its sincere gratitude to Dr. BiswajitBaral (Faculty-in-Charge), Mr. DhananjayTripathy (Faculty Coordinator), and all members of the Silicon Students’ Council for their steadfast support throughout the event. Appreciation was also extended to the organizing team, quizmasters, volunteers, and participants, whose dedication and enthusiasm contributed to making ‘Quizanna 4.0’ a resounding success.
