Silicon University organizes Staff Premiere League

Silicon University organized a month-long sporting extravaganza from 8 December 2025 to 9 January 2026 with the Staff Premiere League (SPL) cricket tournament and Staff Champions League (SCL) volleyball tournament.

The primary objective of SPL and SCL was to foster camaraderie, well-being, and a sense of community among staff members while providing a platform to display sporting talent. The tournaments aimed to strengthen team dynamics, encourage healthy competition, and promote active participation in campus life. By combining rigorous competition with enjoyment and collaboration, these leagues reflected the university’s commitment to holistic development and the value of sports as a tool for engagement and wellness.

The campus buzzed with excitement as faculty and staff members showcased their skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit in high-energy matches across both cricket and volleyball. The events created a vibrant atmosphere where precision, strategy, and passion were on full display, engaging participants and spectators alike. The cricket tournament featured six competitive teams, culminating in a thrilling final where the Kalinga Knight Riders emerged as champions and Kalinga Stallions secured the runners-up position. The volleyball tournament included four determined teams, with the Kalinga Smashers rising through disciplined play and seamless coordination to claim victory with Kalinga Lions emerging as the runners-up. Both tournaments demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and dedication, leaving memorable moments of sporting excellence across the campus.

Beyond victories and score lines, SPL and SCL celebrated unity, health, and the spirit of participation. The events highlighted that sports are not merely competitions but powerful connectors that strengthen relationships, energize minds, and enrich campus life.
