The Silicon Students’ Council (SSC) organized the Grand Welcome Ceremony 2026 on 12 September 2026 to formally welcome newly admitted students to the university community.
The event aimed to introduce the new students to the vibrant campus culture, encourage interaction among students from different academic branches, and provide a platform to showcase their talents and creativity. The ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting and memorable journey for the new students.
The program featured the Mr. & Miss Silicon competition, in which students from various B.Tech. branches, including CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, VLSI, and master’s program, participated. Shortlisted candidates appeared for personal interviews, interacting with university dignitaries and authorities while demonstrating their confidence, personality, and communication skills. The event also featured the felicitation of Mr. and Miss Silicon 2026 and the Best Dancer and Best Singer of 2026, recognizing the outstanding talent and achievements of the participants.
The ceremony was further enlivened by vibrant cultural performances from students representing different academic branches. Talented dancers and singers showcased their artistic abilities, while DDX, the dance crew of Silicon University, delivered a high-energy dance performance. Samarpan, the university’s musical band, entertained the audience with a special musical presentation. The branch coordinators also came together for a special performance, adding to the excitement and celebratory spirit of the occasion.
With the participation of more than 1,500 students, faculty members, authorities, and other members of the university community, the Grand Welcome Ceremony 2026 was a memorable celebration of talent, unity, and student life. The program concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, coordinators, performers, volunteers, and students for their contributions. The event successfully fostered a sense of belonging among the newly admitted students and provided them with a warm and enthusiastic introduction to life at Silicon University.
