The Silicon Student’s Council (SSC) at silicontech, the engineering institute of Silicon University, organized Zygon X Noesis 2026 on 20 and 21 February 2026.
The primary objective of Zygon X Noesis 2026 was to foster experiential learning, innovation, and creativity among students. The event aimed to encourage excellence in technical, cultural, and creative pursuits, provide opportunities for participants to display their skills, and promote inter-departmental as well as inter-college collaboration. Additionally, it sought to enhance teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills while offering industry-level and peer-level exposure through competitions and activities.
This two-day fest provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents across technical, cultural, and creative domains. In the lead-up to the fest, pre-event rounds were conducted, including competitions such as Sprints, Free Fire, Vision Board 2047, BGMI, Valorant, and IPL Auction, to ensure a smooth and well-organized execution.
Daytime events on both days featured an exciting mix of intra-college and inter-college competitions. Day 1 hosted events such as Murder Mystery, Valorant, PCB Designing, Dance Battle, Flavor Parade, and the preliminary rounds of Treasure Hunt, attracting participants from various institutions and departments. Day 2 continued with BGMI, IPL Auction, Trinity Debate, Battle of Bands, Spec2Model, and Face Painting. Meanwhile, the auditorium hosted talks, drama performances, and felicitation ceremonies for student mentors, club secretaries, and event winners, adding formality and recognition to the proceedings.
The cultural evenings on both days were highlights of the fest. Day 1 began with the formal inauguration and lamp lighting, followed by musical performances, dance routines, branch dances, and the Walk in Elegance. Day 2 featured high-energy performances, rap and VAC segments, DDX acts, and vibrant branch dances, culminating with prize distributions, CR felicitations, and the prestigious Odyssey Cup. After an exciting competition between the students of different graduating years, the Odyssey Cup was won by the students of the 2027 graduating batch.
These events showcased talent, artistic expression, and unity, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere. Zygon X Noesis 2026 saw a total of 896 participants, including 792 internal and 104 external registrations. External participants represented institutions such as Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), SOA National Institute of Law, Regional College of Management (RCM), International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), CV Raman Global University, Sri Sri University (SSU), Silicon Institute of Technology Sambalpur, Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), DRIEMS University, Birla Global University, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, along with Rajdhani College, Biju Pattnaik College, GITA Autonomous College, Vikram Dev University, KIIT School of Law, Gopal Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, and Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany, among others, enriching competition and interaction.
With seamless coordination, enthusiastic participation, engaging events, and memorable performances, the fest successfully fulfilled its objectives and stood out as a remarkable celebration of talent, creativity, and innovation.
