Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) bid a heartfelt farewell to the B.Tech. graduating batch of 2024 on 24 April 2024. The farewell ceremony blended emotion, celebration, and inspiration, marking the end of a memorable journey for the outgoing students.
The evening commenced with an inspirational address by Prof. (Dr.) Mihir Hota, Dean Academics. He shared cherished memories and recalled his early interactions with the batch. His words resonated deeply with the students, setting a nostalgic and reflective tone. Following this, Dr. Manoj Mahapatra, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, shared his visionary thoughts and offered words of motivation to guide the graduates as they step into the next phase of their lives.
Adding to the emotional atmosphere, the first, second, and third-year B.Tech. students presented a heartfelt video tribute dedicated to their seniors. The presentation, filled with memories and moments, stirred nostalgia and appreciation among the outgoing batch.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of outstanding students. Awards were presented to those who had excelled in various fields, with Piyush Das (CSE) receiving the ‘Best Student’ award.
