Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on 26 January 2026.
The program commenced with the unfurling of the national flag followed by the national anthem.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahapatra, Senior Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, addressed the gathering and reflected on the cardinal principles of the Constitution of India, emphasising the rights and duties of all citizens. The celebrations were further enriched by a disciplined parade by students, showcasing unity and national spirit. This was followed by student speeches that highlighted the historical significance of Republic Day and reiterated the importance of democratic ideals.
The celebration witnessed active participation from faculty members, staff, and students, creating a vibrant and patriotic atmosphere across the campus. The entire program was successfully organized by the Silicon Students’ Council.
