Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organized its annual food festival ‘Zaika-e-Tadka’ on 14 February 2026.
The fest aimed to promote creativity, teamwork, and culinary talent among students by providing a platform to showcase innovative dishes.
The event was conducted by the Silicon Students’ Council (SSC) under the mentorship of Dr. Simanchal Bag. The competition was judged by Dr. Chinmayee Padhy, Dr. Biresh Kumar Dakua, Dr. Deepak Sahu, and Mr. Bijay Shankar Tripathy, who evaluated teams on taste, presentation, creativity, hygiene, and teamwork.
The winners were announced by Prof. Mihir Hota, Dean (Academics), who also presented the prizes to the winning teams. The first position was secured by team Trio Hub, comprising Gourav Behera, Aryan Sharma, and Munna Kisan. The second position was awarded to team Flavour Fusion, represented by Isha Khan, Haripriya Meher, and Jasmin Maharana. The third position was won by team Silicon Shakers, with members Sawan Kumar Mahato, Rashmi Ranjan Mishra, and Aryan Prajapati.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
