Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) collaborated with Sambad Ama Odisha and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Student Chapter to organize a blood donation camp on its premises on 9 December 2023.
The objective of this camp was to collect blood from voluntary donors for use in medical treatments and emergencies and to create awareness about the importance of blood donation.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Mihir Hota, Dean Academics, in the presence of the medical team from Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Burla (VIMSAR), and Sambad Ama Odisha officials. Students, faculty members, and staff of Silicon West volunteered to donate blood for a noble cause.
A total of 50 units of blood were collected in the camp making this event a huge success.
