The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell), in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a poster presentation event titled ‘Posterpreneur 2024’ on 28 September 2024.
The program aimed to foster entrepreneurial thinking among students through creative visual expression. The students presented posters across themes like idea generation, entrepreneurship and economic development, business startup, innovation and technological entrepreneurship, and entrepreneur and government support.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Mihir Hota, Dean Academics, who appreciated the collaborative effort of the ED Cell and IIC in encouraging student innovation. Dr. Uma Charan Pati, Head of the Department, Department of Economics and Deputy Registrar, Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and External Jury Member. Dr. Pati spoke on the importance of knowledge, skills, and attitude in shaping our entrepreneurial spirit.
The winner of the competition was Swayambhuba Sahu. The first and second runners-up prizes were awarded to Deepika Rout and Aarkriti Priya Pandit respectively.
The event was convened by Dr. Simanchal Bag, Assistant Professor of Economics and Faculty-in-Charge, ED Cell, and Dr. Sonalika Mishra, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Faculty-in-Charge, IIC. Mr. Ankit Roy, Student Coordinator, ED Cell, hosted the event, while the student members of ED Cell and IIC ensured smooth coordination throughout.
