Silicon West organizes an expert talk on Cloud Computing

Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (Silicon West) organised an expert talk on Cloud Computing for the newly admitted students of the 2024–28 batch on 12 September 2024. The virtual session was delivered by Dr. Sourav Kanti Addya, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal.

The objective of the session was to introduce students to emerging technologies and research areas in Computer Science and Engineering.

Dr. Addya offered an in-depth exploration of Cloud Computing, its societal impact, and the key challenges faced by researchers in developing efficient cloud architectures. Drawing from his research expertise and real-world applications, he delivered an insightful and engaging talk that sparked curiosity among students. The interactive nature of the session led to several thoughtful questions, which Dr. Addya addressed with clarity and enthusiasm, motivating students to pursue knowledge with sincerity and focus.

The session successfully broadened the students’ understanding of current technological landscapes and inspired them to explore the field of cloud computing with a research-oriented mindset.
